HAMLIN - With polling day coming after press time for this issue, results from the county’s 35 precincts will appear in next week’s issue of the Lincoln News Sentinel.
With some close races a possibility, next week’s published results may offer a more accurate final breakdown of the voting, with the election tally set to begin on Friday of this week.
Polls closed at 7:30 p.m. yesterday evening, Tuesday, May 11, at precincts all over Lincoln County. During the final week of campaigning, concerns were aired by a number of candidates regarding the seemingly high level of absentee ballot applications in the county.
